31 January 2026. Representatives of the Bahá’í community of the Royal Borough were delighted to be invited to meet with the Mayor, Cllr Mandy Brar.

The Mayor gave her thanks for the book which was presented to her, noting that “there is so much we all have in common” and that “it is important that we acknowledge and celebrate the diversity of the various faiths in the Royal Borough”.

There are Bahá’ís living across the Royal Borough. The beginnings of the Maidenhead Bahá’í community are in the early 1960s when Helena Eliza Kempton, then in her 99th year, became the first Bahai in the town.
